At Impact Soccer Academy, we believe soccer should be the best hour of a child’s week, it has to be fun. We design our sessions around play, creativity, and imagination so players stay engaged, active, and excited to come back. Every child gets meaningful touches on the ball, quality coaching, and minimal time standing in lines. Our training is age-appropriate and intentional, what works for U8–9 players looks different than U10, because we respect how children grow cognitively, physically, and emotionally. In alignment with the long-term player development standards set by Manitoba Soccer Association and Canada Soccer, we are committed to developing confident, capable players for the long run not chasing early specialization or a win-at-all-costs mindset. With certified coaches, smaller training groups, and thoughtfully designed sessions, we support the full development of every player, technically, tactically, physically, socially, and emotionally, while building a genuine love for the game.

Designed and overseen by our Technical Director, Pedro Hernandez, Impact Soccer Academy’s Grassroots program for U8 to U10 players is intentionally structured to be clear, accessible, and family-friendly. Registration is open with no tryouts or evaluations, providing a straightforward and welcoming entry point for families. The year is organized into seasonal blocks in allowing parents to plan around other activities while enabling us to effectively manage staffing, field allocations, and balanced group sizes.
Each registration block includes weekly structured training sessions alongside dedicated festival-style game days. Rather than assigning players to fixed teams, participants rotate regularly, encouraging adaptability and connection across the group. Game days feature multiple short matches in a guided setting without standings or rankings, creating an organized and positive playing environment. Training sessions operate through a four-station format across divided field quadrants, with players rotating every 10 to 15 minutes to ensure consistent activity and repetition. Throughout each block, players work through key technical themes including ball mastery, dribbling, passing combinations, finishing, and small-sided game scenarios. In addition, every two-month block includes one scheduled WYSA Jamboree, where game leaders facilitate play within a structured event setting that reflects the program’s overall approach. In addition to our seasonal programming, we also have opportunities to participate in tournaments both within the city and out of the city. These events provide players with valuable game experience in new environments, exposure to different styles of play, and the chance to represent Impact Soccer Academy in a competitive yet development-focused setting.
